There is still no video called “GTA VI Trailer 3.” What Rockstar has done is date a new official one: Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix on August 27 at 3 p.m. ET, then arrives on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the official GTA VI site at 9 p.m. ET the same day. Rockstar gave it a name, not a number.

This page previously said Rockstar had announced no third trailer and cited a Forbes projection of a late-July to mid-August window. Rockstar announced An Extended Look on August 6 and dated it for August 27, so that projection is superseded and the page now leads with the confirmed event.

Why people call it Trailer 3
Rockstar released Trailer 1 in December 2023 and Trailer 2in May 2025, both numbered. When a third official video appeared on the calendar, “Trailer 3” became the natural shorthand, and much of the coverage adopted it. It is a reasonable label. It is not Rockstar’s.
That distinction matters for what you should expect. A numbered trailer implies the format of the first two; An Extended Look implies something longer, and Rockstar has not said what fills the runtime.
